The guy AN is an ass.I wouldn't buy anything from him.
I have one mid boost harness laying in my box.Just needs to have a few wires reattached.I have one spare JT-6 locking block too.
The J 50's are great pick ups IMO

I didn't get it from him, it was some other random guy that had some JT-6 parts for sale. I contacted him and he listed it for me. Wish you would have chimed in yesterday Anyway at least I'll have a few extra parts now.

Just finished my re-wire with the new circuit. The last guy had 25K pots in there so it was no wonder it sounded like ass. I shielded the control cavity with copper tape, got the new pots in and wired the switches back in with the neck pups. As it turns out, the guitar is very bright sounding now that it is wired correctly. I don't have any experience with a real JE1200, so I don't really know what to compare the replica with. It has an interesting sound and seems more useful than a tone knob. On some amp settings it seems to drop the overall output a little as you turn it up, especially in the last 15% of the turn. It may just be how the amp setting reacts to the eq changes. It doesn't seem to happen as much with cleaner settings I notice. Overall I think it sounds best turned up to about 75-80%. It also seems that while it gets better harmonics on the higher strings as you turn it up, the ones on the low E and A string don't stand out as much.
It makes slightly more noise on the humbucker than my other guitar with a J50BC installed with no circuit. The neck pickups don't seem to get much interference at all, which is great.

I also disassembled the trem, cleaned it, installed the whammy bar post I got from fretsonthenet and reassembled everything. The knife edges look in pretty great shape, which is a plus. The pitch return is very good. The only thing I don't like is the way the b string pinches against the screw in the string lock, but I think I can live with it. It is a nice feel with the Gibson string spacing. Shame that Floyd Rose doesn't make 50mm trems, because I think I could get into that.

Sounds good. I had to put mine together too, buying the M-6 on ebay as an empty shell. Mine turned out great with the JE1200 and I used a J80BC for the bridge.

The trem cleaned up and fixed. I didn't really clean the posts as you can see, I didn't really think about it. By the way, any of you JT6 users know a good way to keep the trem from popping off of the posts when you take all the strings off? I never had such a problem with that with a FR, and I don't want to mark up the top.



A shot of the control cavity. Some of my soldering is a bit clunky. I was working from a hotel room with limited resources. The battery is currently wrapped in a wad of toilet paper I am going to order a new cover with battery box from fretsonthenet as soon as he gets working again next year. I also will replace the switches, as they were pretty fouled up already with solder and that was hampering my work.
