Newb question here lol...Will the JT590 drop right in for a model series Charvel that has a JT6?

Oh....and will it work properly without having to change out the block? I'm asking because the 590 came off of a toothpaste Charvel that was flush mounted and the model series is top mounted.

I'm pretty sure you will need a longer block, or the springs will rub on wood and come off when you use the trem.

You will need a 42 MM block but a 37 may work just have to try it to see if you have enough clearance.

Cool thanks guys, just ordered a 42mm big brass block. One more question same topic.
Will the Schaller posts fit the JT6 threaded inserts? Or should I pull the inserts if I want to use the Schaller posts?

The posts will work just fine if you aren't going super dive bombs. Fretsonthenet.com sells trem posts that screw directly in without having to pull the bushings out of the body. You'd have to fill and redrill because the Schallers are smaller diameter.

To be clear, no, the schaller posts will not fit in the bushings for a JT6.. But like 84sups said, the JT6 posts will work fine for 95% of the schaller trem's travel. I have the JT6 to Floyd conversion posts from Dave on my M6 and love them. Great quality.
