If the strip the allens take a dremel tool and cut a slot then use a flat blade screwdriver to lock them down and use them for another 20 years
    Really? well screw Mark Twain.

I have a few floyd and JT6 guitars.
Personally I prefer the JT6, and here is why......
      1. Tuners at the back mean they dont annoy my hand like the floyd does.
      2. Nice brass sustain block as OE
      3. The blades take a lot of abuse before they ever go blunt.
      4. Great sustain
      5. Easier to fit strings on, no fiddly tiny square blocks to deal with.
As for the tone sucking comments......I dont agree, i think the tone is excellent.
IF I could but new JT-6's I would over floyds.
7 Charvels and a load of other stuff.

No problem with JT-6's here. I like the fine turner design. Not a huge fan of the pop in trem arm but I can deal with it and have changed them over to collared arms.

I would get the schaller. Takeuchi IMO is a downgrade from JT-6.

You can file the edges of the JT-6 back in shape with a small file, and rock for several more years.
