Brought home the Japanese market SDK-075
Needed and still needs some work. Already have it playing worlds better after shimming the nut and tweaking the truss rod.
Fretboard needs love and the strings need to get swapped out. Will get a couple neck off pics when I change the strings.

Any way you could possibly put more shit into your sig?

J90C in the bridge, the neck and middle appear to be the same but have a piece of foam stuck to them covering the decal. They're not noiseless and the output is significantly down from the J90C.

        More pics

Top mounted but routed in the back

        Good news! JT-580 Takeuchi

Cool find, looks really clean. What body wood is it made of? HNGD.

Very nice guitar. I love the painted headstock. I've always liked that feature.

              Not 100% sure.
Comparable US models (Fusion line) were either poplar or basswood according to CharvelUSA.com
It's the lower end of the SDK range, they list the 100 and 110 as mahogany, I know it's not mahogany.

TE line is listed as poplar.

The size difference is apparent to the Model 6 when switching between the two.

Edit: BTW, after shimming, going 1/4 turn loose on the truss rod, some fretboard conditioning oil, and new strings it plays like a dream. When I brought it home, it was tuned down 1/2 step, the A string was fretting out on the 1st string so bad I couldn't get a harmonic on the 12th to check intonation.

So why can't I get those buttery neck tones similar to a Strat? Really doesn't sound a whole heck of a lot different from middle to middle/neck to neck....

                Hmmm...

Hey, look at this, some idiot along the way soldered between the neck and middle on the 5 way!

Soldering gun out, burn that bridge and we've got some TONE!
'course we also have noise being singles and all....

Couple stacked Duncans should fix that.

Built exactly like my Charvette. It's since been modified into something a lot different. Awesome guitar.

Congrats on the score, nice guitar!!

Single coils look like J100's, actually pretty good pups.

Upgrade done, with some minor frustrations. I was fuming and cussing that I got sold a bad pickup, but turns out to not be the case. Took a little testing to figure out that the 5-way is junk in the neck setting. I pulled the rarely used middle and soldered the neck to the middle setting.

STK-4N sounds great, exactly what I was looking for and no hum!

Very nice one. So is that trem original to guitar? That route looks like an OFR route and not a Takeuchi. You may end up swapping out that trem for an Original Floyd but I don't think it's necessary. Those Tak trems are nice.
