Black plastic bit between body and neck plate on MIJ pro mod

Hi,

I've got two USA pro mods and have the little bit of flat black plastic that sits between the neck plate and the body of the guitar.

I also have a Japanese pro mod and just noticed that this doesn't have the black bit of plastic.. Is this normal?

Yes, the lack of a neckplate gasket was one of the differences between the Japan & USA promods.
