So overall, it took a bit of time to get everything but it's worth of it At least here in Europe it's little hard to find everything just like that.
Seems that there's still those bodies on Ebay ATM.
Wow, that’s truly an international San Dimas Model 1 hardtail guitar!

Just out of curiosity where do you guys usually get your parts from? I've been checking ebay and reverb for a while and there seems to be pretty slim pickings.

Yeah, those guys that part-out those new MIM hardtails on ebay are opening up a new life for those nice old MIJ Model series necks.
I might build another one myself soon!

Those are great combos! Who needs a custom shop when you can mutt it up. BTW, I have a couple of Charvel mutts myself so I'm not denigrating them.

Looks really nice FinDude, I like the red too, congrats.
I'm pretty sure you're going to love playing it a lot too.

Some might call our hardtails "mutts" but they're exactly what Charvel should have built.

Those Model 1 maple necks are sweet, enjoy it Dude!

    That white one looks awesome!
My project just started. As you can see, some parts still missing :P Buuut, there's coming JB in bridge and STK-S6 in neck position, as it is on "official" HT model.
But have to say, it (neck) really fits perfect on that body. It was so playable just like that. I couldn't resist myself to stringed it before electronics Feels very nice.

    Here you go....

The Model 1 neck fits perfectly, I even used the old MIJ Charvel neck plate. If you love the Model series necks, you'll really be surprised at how much sustain the new hard tail bodies make. Easy build and an excellent axe too.

    Good luck!
