You dont have to replace the pot, just get your self some Deoxit DS100,this will fix the scratchy noise. Most of the time people replace the pots when that is not needed. The DS100 has cleaner and lube in there is also Deoxit D5 which is just a solvent cleaner no lube, but its harsh and I wouldnt use it on vintage pots, as they have the old waffer style contacts.
