  • Solid Color 750XL's how do you know what you're getting?

I have found a local 750Xl in Cobalt blue. How do I know if this is maogany or Basswood?
and do these solid ones have a lower price point than the trans finishes?
I'm torn I found this last night and a really clean Jackson fusion Pro, I'm torn on which one to grab?
    jackson

    Charvel

    both are fairly priced

The Fusion is a pretty sweet looking guitar.
As cool as the 750's are, solid color ones tend to be hit or miss on tone.
I can't remember who it was here, but I recall he had a solid color 750 that sounded dead.

I've been doing some reading this morning, it seems that the solid color ones are most likely basswood.
I can grab the 750 for $800.00 which I think would be great for a trans one but I'm not so sure about a solid colored one.
      the Jackson is considerably less

This 750XL also looks like it has the oversized pickup rings , if I love the way it plays and it's a keeper,
how would I go about getting a set of say...........Bareknuckle Nailbombs in there without having huge gaps around the
        pickups?

If I found a trans 750 for $800 I'd pounce on it! A trans red one just went for twice that on eBay a week or so back.
Any way you could possibly put more shit into your sig?

I had a solid color 750xl as well and it was a dud too. I'd avoid the solid colors on those...

plate #900098, I'm guessing that is a very early 1990

                          still want an ATT though
