Charvel model 1 HRF

Overall it was very reasonable for a Charvel with a custom graphic. New Charvel pro mods, with their standard options and colors, have a list price around $850. I only paid a couple hundred more than that for all the work on my model 1, including a new Duncan TB-5 and the assembly and setup. If I tried to order the same guitar through the Charvel custom shop, it would probably be around $3k (and a 2 year wait). So "pricey' depends on what you compare it to.

Sounds like a very fair price. I had a Model 2 body refinished years ago, and I think it cost me around $450.00. Plus I put a Musikraft neck on it that was another $250.00. I can't remember what I paid for the German Floyd Rose I put on it, but it was somewhere around $125.00. Then there was the EMG81, so forth and so on, so I definitely understand the cost of getting what you want. It's weird in that I'm down to a couple of guitars, and the only ones I kept were that Model 2 mutt, and another Model 2.

I honestly expected you to say it was 2k or higher with all the work that went into that one. I agree it's money well spent, especially when you get exactly what you want. Thanks for replying.
