#sixpackofsound Experience six tonal flavors by using the push-pull volume control in conjunction with the three-way switch on all new Charvel Pro-Mod guitar...
I own one and I gotta admit the guitars are awesome with a few exceptions for me.
I hate the Middle positions. When the volume control is down , it's out of phase and sounds extremely weak. For me this position is useless. I got way better middle position tones out of my 2013 San Dimas.
The Volume control up in middle position sucks to. Actually all the single coil positions suck. If i wanted a Strat I would buy one. As a metal guy and Metal guys are going to be buying these guitars, I find no reason for these options. Now if you r one of those guys who play more then just Metal well then these position probably will get you excited. For me, I'm using the Bridge and neck positions with the volume control down only. For me this gave me less options of sound. The Older Models have awesome Middle position tones.
I'm seriously considering re wiring it to remove the Push Pull Volume pot and all split coil options. On my 2013 San Dimas I use the middle position often for clean stuff and it sounds incredible. I don't like a Middle position pickup but I do like a Middle position with 2 humbuckers.
The Tone pot can stay as that adds some welcome tonal options but I think they are going to be 500K pots most likely since they are coil tap setup, I'll probably have to buy some CTS 250k pots. I hope they make one of these No load Tone Pots as that is super way cool.
