Super stock San Dimas Orange headstock

I found a made in Japan super stock on Craigslist but it didn't seem to have the matching orange head stock. Does anyone know if they made them without matching headstock possibly? Just trying to figure out if it's an original guitar or has a replacement neck.

Super stocks weren't made in Japan - they were made in Mexico.
