Assuming you haven't picked up either, Idk really, theyre both really nice though. Yes, if the 275 has a JT-570, its ok. It actually works, except mine has a little bit of a issue for the high E string, I assume the locking nut at the head lets the string slip a bit. Just a tad. Could be a very easy fix. The 275 neck is very slim, and great low low action. But mine had the awkward 2 single coils right next to each other at the bridge, and those pickups were very weak for a high gain amp. Just couldn't handle it, they are more for, clean and jazz, I assume?. I put singles blackouts in it, now it rips.

A lot of guys would just route the bridge opening to accept a humbucker on the 275's.
The neck is pure Gakki awesome!

I hear that Bro, but I can't complain really, go a real good deal on the neck, arrived today and wow, that ebony is insane black.
Will be on the lookout for a Primer Scream body, but I'm not holding my breath, lol

In the mean time I'm looking for a Model 2 body to strip and have painted to match the headstock.
If you've got a spare laying around, let me know, I'll buy the pizza!

Good luck with whatever one you choose!

The 275 got sold before I could grab it, so I got this to make up for it .

It's a well kept black 475. The seller couldn't identify it more than this, I ll have more info when it arrives. I don't know if it's a 475 Special or Deluxe.Any guesses?

Mi idea is to go full out modding this one. I love the stock 475, but this came for cheap so if the neck and frets are in excellent condition as the pics seemed to show, I'd like to customize it.

Full electronics overhaul and maybe a new bridge with FUtone, damped springs etc

Congratulations, that looks awesome. How much did you pay?

Specs here: http://charvelusa.com/charvel_models...1990_1991.html I guess that site doesn't list enough specific details to differentiate between the Special and the Deluxe, so unfortunately I'm no help here.

I'm aware that FU-Tone will build complete bridges, but I'm not sure if they will build you a bridge that will fit the shorter JT590 route.

Thanks, payied 280eur for it. Ill have to send pics of the bridge to FU Tone (that's what they told me via mail) and I will see if they can match it, otherwise maybe I could try a gotoh. Still don't have any idea.

I'd like to change all of the pickups (paf-style I suppose), switch, pot and jack and shield cavities. I'm convinced a 475 with high-end components would be second to no other axe.

I just picked up one of these for cheap so called 275 special but i think mine has been messed with as it has no Charvel logo neckplate just chrome unbranded

I took a peek in under the humbucker & it is a GFS pickup & the humbucker route is not the traditional shape it has the staggered coils shape & it really don't fit too good & it looks like the mounting ring holes wasn't done at the factory & not where they should be suggesting this guitar had pickups like this in it with no mounting ring

From the factory those 275's came with two single coils side by side in the bridge position.
I lot of them out there were retrofit with humbuckers, pretty common mod.

I need the charvel neck plate & if i could find the double locking floyd it would be great ...But this single locking trem stays in tune better darn good ..
This one , the sound is lower on the high e string ,I changed the string & it is still noticeable & before you think it's the slant pickup or the pickup height from the string ,I've adjusted quite a bit closer to the strings .
It's more noticeable on the neck pickup .playing the guitar acoustically unplugged , the strings sound pretty even .
I may get out the soldering iron & try to re-flow some joints .& see if that helps .may possibly be a cold joint .
maybe someone got an answer or theory
