Just picked up a Marshall lead 12 3005 micro stack (which sounds great ) and a what is claimed to be 80s charvel guitar. Picked it all up for $275. But this guitar has no model number or serial number visible, including the neckplate.... blank. Can anyone help me identify this.

I haven't seen any of the cx391 models with the " charvel by jackson charvel" logos on the head. That and this guitar has no serial number on the neckplate like the cx391. It does look very similar to one though,Comment

Could be a "FrankenCharvel" made from a different body and neck. The neck looks like a 1990s style with that logo and headstock shape but the body looks like it may be a CX. Have you had the neck off to see if there are markings on the neck pocket or neck butt?Comment

That is very possible. I have not taken the neck off yet. I'm thinking next week I'm going to get it proffesionally set up by a nearby luthier I've been told is very good. I'll ask him to look for some markings if he has to take the neck off to adjust the truss rod. I do know this guitar feels great and sounds even better.Comment
