I have tried to find a review online but can't seem to find one. Is the build quality the same as the standard promods or is it a step above? Is the pickup the same RTM as the USA or is it just similar? Information I've found is a little ambiguous. I've found a couple used USA models for a few hundred more than a new pro mod and am comparing the two. Nobody close has a MIM in stock to check out. I did play a MIM snake a while back but I didn't get much time with it.

Reviews are nearly impossible to find aren't they? I'm sure it's a fine guitar. The used ones seem to hold their value better than the used "standard" pro mods.

I played the Snakeskin Dinky at Sam Ash in NYC. It felt quite similar to a promod with a slightly different neck shape. The highs weren't as crisp on the bridge PU versus a JB. It felt very solid. I played USA model a while back (crossed swords) and thought the quality on it was a little better.

I have the USA snakeskin and the crossswords... The neck profile on these are amazing and I love the tone I get from them. I find the snakeskin more versatile because it's H/S setup. I've not had any issues with these and both are rock solid... I can't speak to the pro series models but if the USA are only $300 more, I'd spend the extra to know you're getting a top-notice guitar that will last for years.
