Hi All, any help appreciated identifying the following guitar that came into my possession recently. What's odd about this guitar is that the headstock is black, not orange, and is not reversed. Is it possible this s an early prototype? Or could it only happen if the neck has been replaced?
Here are the details, sorry unable to post pics at this time.
1990 - 1991 (?) Charvel Spectrum
S/N: 333XXX. Neck plate is the stamped 3-D type and lists "Fort Worth TX". Assuming, then this was manufactured in Japan by by IMC
Fluoro Orange
Basswood body
Bolt-on (4) Maple Neck, Rosewood fretboard
1 vol
JE-1200 Active Modulation Circuit with control pot
Normal headstock in black (i.e. non-reversed)
"Toothpaste" Charvel logo
Schaller-manufactured (JT-590) Floyd Rose-licensed tremolo
Jackson JE-1200 active circuit
5-Way switch
22-fret Rosewood fretboard
3 X Jackson J-200 stacked pickups
Thanks
