Charvel GAS continues, purchased this 1986 Model 3 on Reverb today. Early 1986, TM headstock, TM neck plate, brass rollers on the bridge. Looks to be in near mint condition.

I drove 40 miles to look at a 1990 Predator at GC, looked like someone hacked the body with a meat cleaver, rusted, missing parts, drove home dismayed then found this one and pounced!
Just an fyi, the bridge on that guitar is not mounted properly. Looks like the bridge mounts are not on the edges of the mounting screws. The bridge has fallen off the edges, probably happened during a string change. In its current state it will not stay in tune very well. So dont replace the bridge, just put it back on the screw edges. That bridge works opposite of a floyd where the knife edges are on the bridge and the slots are in the posts. Its a common problem and probably why those bridges get such a bad rap about not staying in tune.
Thanks I'll check that today. I downloaded the user manual for this bridge and plan to inspect, oil, and re-string it today. It seems parts for this bridge are scare to non-existent, some parts are softer zinc alloy and reports of various things breaking/stripping so I purchased the NOS bridge mostly as insurance.
I downloaded the Kahler manual from Whammy Parts and confirmed the bridge was installed incorrectly and suffered some minor damage. I cleaned, oiled, reinstalled correctly with some fresh strings. I'll keep an eye out for 2700 in better condition.
The Good - Paint is excellent, the pointy tip headstock isn't broken, no major dings or chips. One of the saddles was loose, I could see an impression from the saddle locking screws where they set the intonation originally at the factory, I locked them all down in those positions and intonation was spot on.
Needs Work - It wasn't a closet queen, its been played and will need a re-fret. There's also a nasty buzz at the 1st fret on the third string, I'm guessing a nut issue. I'm going to see if Portland Fret Works can take care of this for me. Also ordered a new pickguard and trem back plate from Pickguard Planet today. That 31 year old plastic is brittle, don't ask me how I know this (face palm). lol
