Finaly got a Charvel! I got a Model 3 last week. I got it from a listing on Ebay that never sold twice in a row and got it in a original case with all the latches working, shipped for $300 even. It was in pretty good shape but the Kahler was in phucked up condition, I fixed it and did the best I could, but ended up taking it to a luthier to fix it properly and also add a Seymour Duncan TremBucker that I had in a beater guitar. I also asked him to clean and oil the fret board and replace the pots if needed(I never even plugged it in before I started trying to fix it). I am pretty psyched! It is the usual white translucent(that has a nice yellow fade going on) and the black pickguard. The only real change I'm thinking about is a Floyd if the Kahler is messed up more than I believe and maybe replacing the metal knobs with black strat type knobs. I'll post a pick later. It's nice to actualy be "one of us" instead of a wannabe

Re: Finaly a Charvel owner
Welcome to the family bro! Try and post pics if you get the chance as it's the rules around here . By the way, as far as the paint. When you say translucent, did you actually mean the white pearl color? Congrats bro Dave ->
"would someone answer that damn phone?!?!"

Re: Finaly a Charvel owner
Yes it's a white pearl that has yellowed. I love the way it looks! I'll get some pics, probably kinda boring though, it's not like it was a killer flame finish or anything cool like that. I love it becasue I've always wanted a Charvel and I have always wanted a Strat, the only thing it lacks is a Floyd, but I'm willing to give the Kahler Traditional a chance based on another forum members advice.

Re: Finaly a Charvel owner
Bad news The luthier I took the guitar to called today and said that one of the saddles on the Kahler was cracked and broke! I can't believe it! At least that's the story they are giving me. Anyways, anyone here have any old Kahler Traditional Fulcrum trems around for junk parts? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated, I can't afford and new Floyd and the installation of it right now

Re: Finaly a Charvel owner
This guy's probably your best bet for old Kahler parts. I've gotten a rebuild kit and a string lock from him. He should have some parts for a Traditional trem:

Re: Finaly a Charvel owner
Looks like I got what I wanted off of Axeparts, I am an idiot though. I never read the instructions on how to use the diagram and put your cursor on the part you need to get it. Oh well, also the guys fixing my guitar said it was a saddle, but then when I called to confirm this fact it ended up being a different part! It was the metal piece that the fine tuner screws into. It looks like it's gonna be ok after all.

Re: Finaly a Charvel owner
Finally got the axe back today!! I will post some pics ASAP.
By the way, saw Van Halen here in Atlanta last night and it was amazing, I have about 30 bootleg VH shows and I have NEVER heard a EVH solo spot like he played last night, truly incredible!!
