Since the late 80s, I'd always owned USA Jacksons actually till I read so much on this board about the Charvels. I bought a Blue Model 4 with Shark tooth inlays for $200 buck and liked it (other than the non recessed Floyd), and then bought my desert Crackle 475 Deluxe for $215 at GC of all places, and it has become my main player really. Even over my USA Jacksons and BC Rich.

My first was an '86 Model 6 in shattered glass graphic, for $125 at a pawn shop! It wasn't even on the wall, but behind the counter in a corner. Meanwhile they wanted $399 for an Aria Pro II Rhoads copy on the wall, LOL! BUt the Model 6? They said, "This thing?... How about $125? I didn't bother to haggle! Wish I still had that one...

My first was a 475 love it went crazy for em. That is until I got screwed into a crap model 1. Probably won't buy another.

My first Charvel was a 650xl in silver metal flake bought it used in 93 or 94 for $250.00 near mint I wish I still had it due survival had to sell it and still kickin myself in the arse loved that guitar my first neckthru but I did make an extra $150 bucks on it

My first Charvel was an '86 red Model 2 w/Kahler single locking trem..I still have that guitar along with the tweed case..I recieved that guitar for my birthday..I also had [wish I still had it] a yellow/orange firecrackle Model 4 with shark fin inlays..My dumbass wanted this '93 Concept Rhoads V so I traded the firecrackle Model 4 for it..I still cringe at the thought of that trade..I suck.. My first (and last) [import] Charvel was an 86 Black Model 6. Great guitar. Played well and looked great. Excellent fit/finish. In '87 I traded it for an '84 RR - still have that one . [img]/images/graemlins/cool.gif[/img]

i had a really sweet Model 3, pearl white, GREAT Neck shape, with a nice rosewood fretboard, kahler, bolt-on, for a week. i loved it, but the neck cracking was freaking me out, so i ended up letting go of it, for a flames Fender Strat. but i have a really nice charvel coming to me today, so i'll let chall know about it when it comes!!!!!

Mine was a red 86 Model 6 that I bought new in 87 for around $760 (still have the receipt at home). I was only 15 at the time, making 4 bucks an hour at Wendy's so it was on layaway for a few months but I got it! And still have it.........
