• FINALLY! I got a Charvel Model 5.

I've only been looking for over a year, and Dana (guitarforceone) finally felt sorry for me and sold me one. Good deal too!

This is a really good guitar, one of the early ones with a Kahler, which is the only floating trem I've ever liked.

A big thumbs up for Dana and Charvel from an old Dean fan!

Will this forum host pics, or do I need to find another way?

Congrats. I got mine new in '86. It has the Kahler which I personally don't mind. It's a great guitar that you can pick up for a great price nowadays, if you can find one. They don't seem to pop up as much as the other Models. It's special to me, I learned 99% of what I know on that guitar.

Finally, a pic! I had to wait until I got a new black trem arm. I also re-painted the humbucker screw heads black.

sweet axe man. It's always nice to finally get something you've been after for a long time. I might have to take your advice on the floating trem, and check it out!
You took too much, man. Too much. Too much.

How does the kahler work for you?
been GASing for one of those for a while now, but am a little "scared" of the kahler....
And btw: GREAT looking axe!

The Kahler is the ONLY trem that I have ever liked. It's easy to setup, stays in tune, and works fine. I wouldn't trade the Kahler for 10 Floyd Roses.

ok sounds great.
And now a stupid question: How do you like the guitar?
How wold you compare it to a US Jackson?
