I really like the guitar and would buy it again. I need to get the frets leveled and the electronics fixed, but it's still a great guitar.

Nice axe bro!...but that Kahler isn't technically a "floating" trem. I'm not knocking Kahlers though, I love 'em!

If it make de pitch go up and de pitch go down, den it mus' be a floater!

Seriously, aren't there only 2 basic types of trems, fixed (down only) and floating (up and down)? I don't see a whole lot of difference in a Kahler Pro and a Floyd Rose, except that FR trems require the wood to be gutted to make room.

Actually, the Kahlers require a pocket of wood removed also for installation. It's not as much though.

Re: FINALLY! I got a Charvel Model 5.

Congratullations, I have one metallic purple that was my main guitar for many years, I love it and I love the Kahler, I think mine is 85 or 86, I have it since then, I found recently another one with the floyd rose and did not look to get it but I can found another I would grab it, also was looking for a model 6 but no luck. So far you got a really great guitar

The Kahler is my favorite trem I have 2 V220 carvins with that same trem, floyd rose is ok but I don't look for it even that I love my music man axis and EVH models with it

Thanks budman68 my 2 V220's are great guitars, one is a white with black hardware and the old logo and the other is a wood color like Koa but I doubt it, with a new logo but gold hardware, both are very nice but I have them in storage in the closet at the moment since I'm playing more music man guitar lately,

I just had to sell my white V220T I miss it but the buyer was ecstatic to get it so at least it'll be loved. They really are awesome guitars; so are Model 5s and 6s.

budman68 that looks like my white one except that mine has the blocks instead of the dots, I found it on sale at the Carvin store in front of guitar center in Hollywood and has all the items I was looking for at that time in that model. I used my model 5 Charvel and my Carvin for playing for a long time, great guitars!!
