the jackson soloist archtop pro is a short scale too. it is similar to the 750XL but it has an ebony fretboard.Comment

I have one in champagne which rocks. I bought it in 1990 new and I'd never sell it. I think pickups might get changed for EMG's shortly. My only gripe is that the angle of the neck/ fretboard means you can't set the trem up so you can really pull up high, but that doesn't really matter. Does anyone know how many got made, as you never see them anywhere?Comment

I bought my younger brother a 550XL for his birthday a couple years back. The previous owner had installed an OFR, and "Little Bro" had a Duncan Distortion put in. The thing plays and sounds fantastic, and has become his main gigging and recording guitar.Comment
