Can anybody tell me if there was a difference in foreign made Charvels by Jackson after the logo changed from the guitar shape to the big cursive "Jackson" writing? How do these compare to the "Model" type of guitars, or did some "Models" continue after this change?

The only big difference between the original model series and the toothpaste logo'ed model series is the body. The originals were strat shaped. The toothpaste models were dinky shaped like the Jacksons. Same great necks, same body wood. Sadly no Kahlers.

Can anybody tell me how this guitar compares to a Model 5? Besides the body shape, and pickup arrangement. The seller doesn't know much about the guitar. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...e=STRK:MEWN:IT

That's a 550xl. Basically the same as the model 5 except for the bridge, pickup arrangement and logo.
