Charvel Fusion Custom original wiring?

Hi guys. I originally posted this in the Tech section but got no replies.

This is my first post on the JCF online forum.

I am posting to ask if anyone knows the correct wiring for a Charvel Fusion Custom (HSS).

I got this guitar in as good condition as you can expect (i.e. very good) second hand about 18 months ago. I did not get on with the original J90C and J200R pickups.

When I came to wire in a new pickup set I noticed that the wiring of the J200Rs was odd. It looks like they were wired as coil split (middle) and parallel (neck).

The wiring and switching looked original but it seems strange to bypass half a pickup and choke the power of the other.

I did try wiring in the J200Rs as full humbuckers but didn't like that either.

So was this the original wiring? What's going on?

Did you ever figure this out? I have a Fusion Custom and I can provide pictures of the control cavity. On mine there's certainly no coil tapping or anything going on, so it seems yours was meddled with at some point.
