  • Looking for model 6 pickup switches

    Hi,

I'm looking for the 3 black flat toggle switches for a model 6. Does anyone know a place to buy them new or used?

    Cheers,
    Pete

Not sure which of these three from AllParts.com would be the most "accurate" or if they are even appropriate for the job at hand, but here they are in case you wanted to investigate further:

        Hi,

Thanks for the replies and links much appreciated! I'll message allparts and see if one of those will do the job although I think it needs to be a spdt switch.
I'm hoping to restore it to original spec, somebody in the past changed them for some reason. The guitar is a bit of a project, has had a poor refinish so that will need doing aswell.
Are there any good sources that sell original used parts?

        Cheers,
        Pete

The original switches are spst. but the top link in post #2 would do the same job, look the same on out side, but have more options on the inside.

Not sure how I missed this originally but Frets On The Net has "Original Paddle Style pickup and boost switches":

Original "Paddle" style pickup and boost switches These are used as the pickup switches on Model 6's and 4's and were also used on the boost systems and other electronics used by Jackson/Charvel guitars. Recently I had a customer complain that this is a double pole switch, and not a single pole. Just for your info, double pole switches were also used in the Model 4's and 6's, it just depends on the year of production. They still wire up the same way, the double pole just gives more options.
