New 750XL pics - (Schaller) basswood vs mahogany - any sound difference?

My newly acquired 750XL. This guitar is so good that I'm having a hard time believing the mahogany version could sound any better. This one came with the J80C/J50B combination. Not a big fan of the 50B in the neck, but I love the 80C.

Does anyone here own both a mahogany and basswood (was that ever verified?) version? Any difference in sound?

Anyone from Melbourne, Australia here who owns a transparent 750XL with Schaller?

Only have the Mahogany model, and mine it a string thru. You'd have to compare against a mahogany model, with trem, and with the same pickups for a fair comparison of which sounds better.

I am thoroughly enjoying it, but I shall remain curious.
