I had two Model 2’s that I converted to Floyd’s. The low E string saddle wouldn’t go back far enough on either of them to intonate properly. I simply took the saddle to the bench grinder and ground off some of the bottom, back corner, or edge you might call it, the part that comes down on the bridge plate. It contacts the back of the plate where it angles up. You won’t need to grind much off and you don’t see it when installed again. Having said all that, I went with the Gotoh for my Model 6 and love it. Feels and looks perfect with no issues.
