Man, speaking of low prices on pink guitars, a few weeks ago Jim Shine's pink San Dimas Soloist went for under $600 on the Bay, iirc. I think Beyond Custom Guitars snagged it, so God only knows what kind of airbrush assault Shadoe has planned for it. [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

Well my new/ old Charvel 5A just got here, and it's a really great guitar. I want to thank atilla for turning me on to it, and YetAnotherOne for the great deal on this guitar. I'm detailing it out, and doing a fret dress on it now, and i'll post photos of it soon.

Burgandy Mist 5A here too, and I must admit that I ain't been man enough to play it in public yet. The fact that I'm in a band who's closest approach to metal is Led Zep's Rock 'n' Roll has also got something to do with it. [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

I got it NOS three years ago for about US$400, no case. There's a matching model series bass also NOS in alocal store. I'm tempted, just to get the set!

I Love Charvel 5A\'s

I've always loved 1-hum, 1-vol knob guitars. I find myself playing my 5A's as much as anything I own. I sold off everything "import" except for my 5A's and 750XL's.

I got my first 5A, a pearl cream color, about 6 yrs ago on eBay when nobody knew what the hell they were. The eBay auction had no pic, and said 24 frets, 1 vol. It didn't mention neck-thru or anything. It ended with zero bids. This was a guitar that was given away in a contest in 1988 that had been signed by all the members of Ratt. It had sat unplayed for 10 years and still had the plastic on the truss rod cover. I got it in the original case for $150 [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] It was a brand new time capsule when I received it.

I got my 2nd 5A about 3 years ago on eBay. It's metallic candy apple red with an EMG 89, practically mint. I payed $275 for it.

I've been looking for a mint metallic blue 5A for several years now but just haven't found one. I want the whole red/white/blue collection. I also have a fire crackle 5FX which is cool but it just doesn't do it for me like the 5A's.
