  • 80s Charvel Model series Kahler Fulcrum Replacement

New poster, thought I'd share a finding for those who may be interested: After a bunch of digging on this and other forums, I didn't find much information other than "try a a Kahler Killer"....didn't want to wait till one came up on eBay for under $200, so thought I'd try the other tidbit of help I found, which was to take measurements and look around. I did just that. The good news is, the Babicz FCH 2 Point Strat Tremolo is a perfect drop in replacement. going to string it up and set intonation later. Trem works great (unstrung, as a test per Babicz youtube video), so I'm fairly certain this one's a winner.

    Price was ok...$140.

that looks like a lot prettier conversion then the killer would be, those things are long and ugly.

Thanks, Paranoid. I agree, 100%. Big difference from a Killer or having to do the work to get a Floyd to fit. Super clean, works great, excellent tutorial on Youtube from Jeff Babicz on how to string/intonate, etc.

Question for Todd (thanks for the post BTW): were you able to re-use the original Kahler trem mounting screws and posts, or did you have to replace them with the Babicz as well?
