Dimarzio Tone Zone in Charvel 5FX?

My Charvel Model 5FX has an EMG-81 & slant EMG neck single coil, it's the only guitar I have with active pickups and just wondering if anyone has ever tried or used a Dimarzio Tone zone in their Charvel model series and what neck single coil would compliment it? The Charvel Model 5FX features a neck-through construction with a maple neck and poplar body.

I have an EMG 81 in a Model 2 that I really like, and I also have an old DiMarzio Super Distortion in a Predator. They each have their merits, and I like each equally. I will admit I lean toward my Charvels with the old original J-90C and J-80C pickups in them though. They just nail the sound I look for.

I have a Tone Zone in my Fusion Custom. I put a bill Lawrence in the neck, kept the j200r in middle since I wasn’t using it much. It’s a crunchy sound but in a good way.

I just came across this video, doesn't sound bad and kind of gives an idea of what the Tone Zone bridge humbucker and Air Norton S neck pickup might sound like in my Charvel Model 5FX...

Looks like the guy has a push pull potentiometer tone control to go to single coil on his Jackson.
