Looks like a Model 3 with a hum in the neck instead of a single. They did a great job though. That guitar looks immaculate, very nice

I would guess the year as an '87.

I'd actually say that it's a Model 3A with an added single in the middle. Note the lip on the single-coil pickup and the route. Definitely not stock. Whether the humbuckers are stock, that's another story.
As far as the year, it's definitely between 87 and 88.
I don't believe the neck humbucker is stock as they used the oversized rings back then. If you look at the bridge humbucker ring, that is definitely one of the oversized rings so it should be on the neck side also if it were to be an original. Nice guitar though.
I was thinking this was a heavily modded model 2. The lip on the single coil. Plus the lack of paint in the single slot and the neck pickup slot. Looks like a good clean job, very nice one of.
I was leaning away from it being a modified model 2. The tone and volume controls are in the correct place. Not that whoever added the single coil couldn't put them there, but why put all that bodywork into a model 2 when you could get away witht he minimal work you'd put into a Model 3A?
Personally I think it's the neck hum that got switched in later, because of the ring and if you look at the first pic you can see the appearance of the neck hum is 'lighter' and more of a brown colour than the 'black' colour of the other two. It's not scientific, but a good clue I think.
