That is a model 5 FX only 300 were produced in 1988.The color is firecrackle.They are maple neck thru with poplar wings.

I think the Dots Are MOP, but I´ve never seen a 5FX in person..... [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

I say it's a 5A with the neck pickup and electronics added by a past owner. The single coil in the 5FX is slanted at an approximately 135° or 45° angle (depending on how you look at it), and the 5FX should only have vol + 3-way toggle.

Thats a modded model 5a should be 1 humbucker 1 vol.

agree on the posts above, definately no model 5fx, too bad they messed witht the 1 hb guitar by adding a sc in the neck, but still a nice guitar

That sticker on the guitar should read "NO5FX" instead of "NOFX" !
