Hehe, mine is butchered too. No J-1000 in it either now.
I just have the bridge EMG 81 hooked up, no other pickups (don't like the jackson or EMG singles), and the pickup goes right to the EMG PA-2 preamp into the volume pot, and outt the jack.

I would have gladly paid way over $200 for that guitar! Looks like the stock middle J120 pup but the bridge and neck pups are different. I personally love the J1200 mid boost for shred tones, although it wouldn't be ideal as an only guitar with this system. I usually have the mid boost at 1/2 for best overall tone.
