  • Pawn shop Model 1C ?

Well i gave up on the guy with the Les Paul and the RR, he didn't want to deal. While doing my monthly pawn search I stumbled across this rare gem. I remember someone else had one here on the board and sold it recently I think these are officially Model 1C's. I can't remember. It is very clean. It is missing the bar. As a bonus the case actually has all 4 latches and they work. I talked him down from $225 to $150. I had to get it.

      I like!

Im surprized at the number of charvels in pawn shops, I have probably seen about a dozen model 3's now.

Sounds like I'll have to check some pawn shops around here in SW FL where I live. I used to find deals in the 90's but then I stopped going for the reason over priced crap was the guitar de jour.

I think finding a maple neck charvel shouldn;t be too hard, but I suspect I will have to go through alot of current Korean guitars to find Charvel/Jacksons around here.

This was the first Charvel I have seen in a local pawn shop in a year. Mostly there are squires or just plain junk here in southwest Va.

very nice find, mudman. How the frets on the old girl? Are they worn, or is that just reflection off the strings?

Is there a difference between the Model 1C body and a Model 3 body?

I think the 1C cam out in '88, right? So the difference would be the 1C has a a vintage trem and the 3 would have been routed for a Floyd. If it was '86, the 3 would be top routed and have one of those funky Khaler two post trems.

Wow! Very nice. I love that blue. With the vintage trem that has got to be one of the nicest of the model series guitars. Great combo of color, maple neck, H-S-S and vintage trem.
