Yep, actually mine, got it about 5-6 months ago from ebay. Not for sale for now, but PM me your contact info and I'll throw the info in the case with the guitar. You and the Aussies would get 1st dibs if I ever sell!

Re: Charvel Fusion .......

Here is the Blue Book thread, which lists it at $300-$400. You'd be doing well to get one in that range, imo. I think a clean one would probably end at over $400 on eBay these days.

I have a platinum 550xl. Pickups were a J90C in the bridge and some sort of hotrails type thing in the neck. What are these worth in the UK? Don't see that many of them about

Re: Charvel Fusion .......

No idea what it would go for, but I think most of the neckthrough imports sell for more over there due to supply/demand. What I do know is that I'd like to see some pics of it!

I don't think I have ever seen an actual Charvel Deluxe like the one in the catalog: 24 fret maple neck as well as that cool orange color. In fact I don't recall any 24 fret maple charvels from that era, and I don't recall any orange Charvels either. Not saying they didn't exist but I have never seen one and if I did see one I would beg borrow steal possibly kill for one.

Hi
I was just going through old posts as I am new here and found this thread
There is a guitar on ebay right now that might be the right one or...?
Orange colour and nice maple board with 24 frets

Link to auction

Best regards / Obi_one

Re: Charvel Fusion .......

I have a question - I have a Fusion Special that is in need of woodwork and refinishing. Rather than hassle with this I'd like to replace the body. I found a Charvette body that looked identical but I was worried about the scale. What bodies will work to replace my Fusion Special?
Will a Jackson Dinky body do the trick?

If the Jackson Dinky body is a regular 25.5 inch scale (like most), than it won't work as your Fusion Special has a 24 3/4 inch neck. That is, unless the Jackson body is from a Jackson Fusion (which has a similar "Dinky" shape) as it has the shorter scale.

For the Charvel/Charvettes from the "Model series" era, if the neck is a 24-fret bolt-on, than it's generally the short scale. So if the Charvette body you found had a 24-fret bolt on neck on it, than it should work with your neck. Just so you know, some Charvette bodies were made of the ply-type wood instead of solid wood.

Wood

That was my next question. Thanks for the helpful info.

I clicked on this thread cos I could see I replied to it but didn't remember doing so....now I see why, my reply was SIX YEARS AGO! Holy thread resurrection! BTW, I like the orange fusions too, but so much so, I would've created a new thread!

I'm serious, I can't stop coming here and looking at that orange thing. I'm in a trans and can't snap out of it.
