650XL is a damn good guitar. I have one that upgraded with EMGs and all new electronics, chrome hardware, a D-Tuna, and got rid of the mid boost and put an on/off toggle there instead.

D-Tuna? On a recessed tremolo??? A Schaller design no less?

The trem on the 650 wasn't recessed. It did have a cavity below the trem to allow for radical pull-ups, but the trem itself sat above the body.

I love my Model 6, blood red in color, now i have EMG's in it, fastest neck of any guitar I've ever owned, although my Soloist XL Professional comes real close to it...
