Just scored a great Model 6 for $330! Deal?

About a dozen years ago I owned a great cobalt blue Charvel Model 6 (expect for the darn Khaler!) and was looking for the same model on eBay for some time.

The ones I saw now and again either sold for around $500 and/or had that annoying Khaler.

Well in the early morning hours I was not sleeping again (thanks to our 4-month old) and I hit the "Buy It Now" on a sweet Charvel Model 6 for only $330!

This one finally has the Floyd as well!

Okay so the preamp has been removed but I was never a big fan of that anyhow. I can not help but feel that this was a great deal no?

that's sweet, i bought mine in 1996 for $250 from a friend who wanted a Robin guitar...mine's all EMG'd out, and I have an original FR on it, but i think I'm going to put the JT-6 back on it...

Any replacement pickup suggestions?

My old one had a Full Shred (God I loved those!) in the bridge and wired to one volume only.

BTW I will score a Schaller Floyd ASAP as I too can not stand those OEM Floyds that they came with.

I think a Duncan Distortion would sound great in that guitar--that's what I've put in all of my Soloists/neckthru Models over the years.

My 650xl has a Distortion/Cool Rails/Hot Rails combo and that thing smokes. I would highly recommend the Distortion in the bridge (no sh!t, right) and the Hot/Cool Rails are great for everything from jazz/blues to all out shred metal leads.

Sweet score! I love my 2H Model 6 (and the Kahler on it), and it is currently undergoing a refinish. I love buying up cool guitars on the cheap, and then playing with paint.
