  • Few more newbie questions.

I have an Rx10D i have painted the bevels white on, now i really want a maple fingerboard to go with this, so what is the best charvel model 22fret bolt on to buy to AB both of them?

Part 2: Are they a direct retrofit?

Part 3: How much would said charvel cost?

    Cheers guys

    Re: Few more newbie questions.

There were only a handful of Charvel Model maple necks.. There's the Model 1 (regular pointy, no locking nut), there's the model 4M (regular pointy, locking nut), the Model 7(reverse pointy, no locking nut), and most rare the Model 8 (Reverse pointy, locking nut).

When you said "only a handful", do you mean... Only a handful made or only a handful of models featuring a maple board...?

          Yeah, they are direct retrofits.

I had a neck from a Charvel 475 placed on a RR3 body and it worked fine.

A handful of models. The most common of those that I posted is the Model 1. (and 1A)

I had one that was like that, but it was in bad shape. I switched the neck with a Model 2 and sold the Model 4 for someone to care for.

Remember, you can always add the JT-6 locking nut.
