First year for Charvie imports.....

Sorry if that has been covered before. Over the last year, I have been noticing obviously Model series imports being advertized on ebay as '84s and '85s. My memory is not seeing Model series guitars until '86 or so.

When did they first bring in the Model series guitars?

86. The general consensus is the first one was #220000 or lower.

I think some of these people are trying to apply Gibson-style dating to the serials (they see a 4 or 5 at the end and think it's the year).
