That short scale is pretty addictive. I love my 750s.

Re: Scale length of 750xl
While I really like my 750xl (fuscia/magenta color RAWKS), I am not too big a fan of the short scale. For some reason while I can play my LPs just fine... the short scale on the 750XL always throws me off a bit when I frst pick it up. I guess it's a mental thing... that I expect a superstrat to have the longer scale.

Re: Scale length of 750xl
the shortscale has one minor setback. I have 1 shortscale 750 and a normal scale guitar and use both a lot. problem with using both guitars, is that the shortscale needs another amount of power with bends and that is rather confusing. I still cannot switch properly between the guitars. with the 25.5 scale I can do em easily, but with the shortscale I am always just a little off, and that is annoying.

I find that if you are used to 9-42s on a 25.5 scale. That if you use 11-52s on the 24.75 they feel about the same tension wise.I actually like the shorter scale because of problems with my wrist. Most of mine are strung with 9-42s and 10-46s usally on the trem versions.I was 25.5 scale player only to a few years ago.I can still play them just not for as long a period of time now.Mike

Re: Scale length of 750xl
See, I use 11s on both my 24.75" and 25.5" scale guitars. But the 25.5" scale ones get tuned down 1/2 step. They feel very similar to me that way. I couldn't imagine 9s tuned down 1/2 step on a 24.75". That would be like rubber bands to me.

Re: Scale length of 750xl
Yeah a bit rubbery but very easy on the hand.It did take a while to get used to the string tension with the picking hand though.I am just glad I can play longer now without any discomfort.Mike
