750xl - Should I?

I've been offered a 750xl in excellent condition for $700AUS firm. Should I or not?

For $700, it had better be damn near mint. For me personally, I wouldn't go above $600 for a string thru, less for a trem. They're awesome guitars. Just think about whether or not it's worth it to you. If it is, don't hesitate because you won't be disappointed.

Tremolo equipped guitars are more costly than string through. When the 750 was in production it was $100 more for the trem version than the non trem.

really, I thought they were the other way around given you see fewer string thru's.

At any rate, that doesn't seem a bad price for a guitar like the 750 in the Aussie market. Some of the stuff over there looks quite expensive compared to the states.

OK, I didn't see the AUS behind the cost. I was thinking American dollars. If that's the price, then I would jump on it if, especially if it's in excellent condition. I would pay less for a trem equipped version because I like those less.

That's a good price for a 750XL in Oz, I paid a lot more for mine in 94. There was an amber one on Ebay a couple of weeks ago that went for around that, but it didn't have the Charvel case. I resisted the temptation to bid and just watched.
