Re: Is there a Toothpaste logoed Charvel version o
Single hum models went out with the model series. These weren't in production during the toothpaste series.
Jackson had plenty of single hum bolt ons and dual hum models to offer.
Charvel did have few dual hums toothpastes tho.
Fusion plus, 750xl.

Yes, model had single hums, but they're not toothpaste.
Jackson has the JRS-2, which was a MIJ single hum, reverse HS, strat style only offered in the '97 catalog.
Tekky can attest to those.
JJP were Paul shaped single hum but were US made. Kelly had a single hum..and I don't know, my head is beginning to hurt
Mmm, MIJ single hum narrows it down considerably.

Yeah I want the quality of the MIJ Model series or the DK2LE that I absolutely love for what I paid.
Looks like a JRS-2 will be an even harder find than the Model series 2...

Re: Is there a Toothpaste logoed Charvel version o
Thanks for the heads-up on the JRS-2, but that guitar almost looks like the equivalent of a Squier Bullet (which this thing reminds me of) compared to a Fender. Even though it's a Jackson it looks "cheap" compared to a Model 2 (unpainted headstock, dull and washed out rosewood fretboard, non locking nut, whimsical wilkinson trem, generic looking humbucker etc.). Not a fan of Jackson imports in the 90's but my DR6 looks a little more upscale than this JRS-1. Was this even MIJ or MIIndia? So I take it there was nothing almost exactly like a Model 2 in the 90's and beyond since?

Yes, I have one and its an excellent quality guitar, Nothing cheap about it. But yes, It doesnt have a floyd or a locking nut so It may not be your cup of tea. Tekky, I was gonna pm ya on this one but I didnt know if youd like the headstock chip.
