Re: Help Identifying a Charvel Model

    [ QUOTE ]
This guitar was not manufactored for the US Charvel market. If it was it would have the fort worth address on the neck plate.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Nope. I think most Japanese Charvels sold in the US in 90-91 did not have any address on the plate. They finally realized having a US address on an import guitar was confusing.

I have a 90 Fusion Special and a 91 Fusion Custom and neither of them have any address on the plates.

Re: Help Identifying a Charvel Model

Tekky, i emailed and talked with the guy in the phone and he said that the scale looks like 25,5" and here´s a pic of the tremolo.

Nah, my charvel (the one i´m waiting for, the RED One) don´t have a Kahler locking nut. i said that The guy that is trading me this red charvel, have another charvel to sell, MADE IN USA one, and with the kahler locking nut and a takeiuchi charvel floyd.

OK, now you're confusing me. One guitar at a time OK?

So this guitar has a standard Floyd nut?

Re: Help Identifying a Charvel Model

          Yes. sorry for confusion.
this guitar is the guitar that i´m trying to identify IS THE RED one that i took and post the pictures here.
it has normal Locking Nut, and Charvel/takeiuchi floyd rose.
apparently, the guy measured it and the scale length is 25,5". and he swaped the bridge original jackson humbucker, for a Seymour Duncan JB.
          that´s it.

Well since this has stumped us, Tekky why not post this in the ask Jackson section? Maybe someone there can shred some light on ahat it is we're looking at.

I doubt they would know anything about this.

Hey JP nice guitar!!!! This is Kevin (Fusion1) from Duncan forums. How do you find all these cool Charvel/Jackson guitars down in Brazil buddy? How much did you get the 2nd Jackson for? Lucky you got it with a JB in the bridge. Now you just need to turn that JB into a Duncan Distortion changing out the alnico 5 for a ceramic. But then you'd have to find the 2 smaller spacer magnets too...

FMIC has relatively recently acquired Jackson/Charvel in regards to when this guitar seems to be made. (I'm chancing at guessing that it's a late 80s/early 90s based on the tremolo routing) Since the acquisition the focus has been forward, they're not even giving info on serial numbers anymore. Something tells me that identifying this guitar would be rock bottom on their priorities.

We know that's what you want, but unfortunately without obtaining the guitar or obtaining catalogs we I can't help you any further. All our knowledge is based upon documentation (catalogs) and practical application. (tearing them down and building them back up)
