Please allow m to rave about my Charvel Model 6 !

Bought it on ebay a few months ago for the grand sum of $325.00

As soon as it came I scraped the horrible JT-6 and installed a OFR as well as a Seymour Duncan Full Shred. Since it never had the original mid-boost when I bought it, I simply wired the guitar ala EVH. That is humbucker to volume and straight out.

This guitar simply rocks! Such a balanced tone and that neck thru design just begs you to play more and more.

I assure you that this guitar kills others that sell for a grand or more. These Model 6's are such a steal when you consider just how much guitar you actually get for your money.

Congrats! I just sealed a deal for a Model 5, can't wait to get my hands on it. It will be my Jeff Hanneman worship guitar, so EMGs and SPC to come. [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

Ahh the Model 6. I've had 3, one with an OFR and I miss them all. And you're right they are as close to a Jackson USA soloist as you can get. I actually had a white one (the one with the OFR) that played better than a couple of my USA soloists.

Here is the pic as promised.

The Charvel is still a work in progress. The Schaller style trem arm is on back order from Stew Mac and I need to hunt down some black plastic plugs for the two remaining holes. Also a machinist friend of mine will open up the posts allowing for full OFR travel.

Perhaps a custom engraved truss rod cover as well...

Still for what it does....

Given that I have a great crackle silver toothpaste logo Charvel on the way I can not but feel I have the best of both worlds. A killer neck thru as well as a bolt on.

I had one just like it way back in the early 90's other than the fact that it was an'86 with that blasted Kahler. Matter of fact I had a toothpast Charvel back then as well that I foolishly sold too.

The first one I ever had was that color. Very nice I would love to have one all set up with an OFR in that color.
