Can anyone ID this Charvette???

Don't have a clue about Charvettes.

This came up for $89 tonight on E-Bay and I could not pass this up.

This is a 24 fretter, and the ad said it was a short scale. The pics are kinda dark...here they are.

Is this plywood, or solid wood?

Thats a nice one. I heard that the 24 fretters with the actual floyd-clone trems should be real wood. Mine is real wood and its 22 frets and a crummy floydish trem. Go figure. I like the humbucker enough on mine but the single coil sounds like mudd. Ive got a stacked dimarzio that I plan on putting in there. Build quality on mine is really nice. Good luck with it.

I believe that's a Model 270 and the body should be basswood. Nice score, well worth the money! Fairly comparable to a Model Series Charvel functionally, though not as well thought of just because it says Charvette
on the headstock.

Well, very cool. It won't say Charvette on the headstock when I am done...it is getting a complete re-fin.

Mine isn't. Unless basswood grows with plywood-like layers. [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]
