• help me ID my Charvel electro-acoustic....please!

Here's some pics of my newest guitar..... biliousfrog's uploads

I just got it from a guy on ebay & can't find any info on it. It's not got a serial (that I can find, the pre-amp is a branded Charvel/Jackson but has "made in England" embossed in it. The details are beautiful as is the playability...... & the sounds not bad either.

any info on age, model, place of birth, value etc would be great.

      Thanks for the quick response.

      I've found mention of the 625C's & D's but not the F...I assume that there's an A, B & E somewhere too.

Do you have any idea of the original list prices & the current "going rate" just out of curiosity? I'd love to hear that I've got a bargain although I'm so happy with it I wouldn't care if it was a $100 in 1994.

There's something about the 3-a-side headstock Charvel's that makes me weak at the knees...I've wanted a surfcaster for years & I think that I might finally have to get one. If the feel of them is half as good as this acoustic I'll be a very happy man indeed.

Sorry, I don't. There is a "bluebook" thread somewhere in this section, but I don't know if the acoustics are in it. However if you like it and you can still put food on the table, I'd say you got a great deal.

No soundhole, but as deep as a standard acoustic?

So, is this a fully acoustic guitar, but with no soundhole(s), or does it have tonal chambers?

tekky, do you know the differences in those models?

reason I ask is that I have a 625C, cherry sunburst model, and I've seen 625C's in natural and black finishes. his 625F has no soundhole, but otherwise is very similar to mine in many respects, and I saw a 625D on the web that is virtually the same as mine but with no binding on the neck or headstock (mine has the binding).

I guess what I'm asking is what is the regular 625 as opposed to the other ones? and I saw a 725 acoustic jumbo body recently, are there other models in that range too?

              thanks...

Re: help me ID my Charvel electro-acoustic....please!

yeah noodles from what I can tell it's a standard acoustic but without a soundhole. I've seen similar bowlbacks but not a regular acoustic style, it's to prevent feedback I guess.

It's not as loud as my other acoustic but is still fine for practice & bedroom use. I actually wanted a more traditional looking acoustic but it was far too pretty to turn down, even my girlfriend thought that it was pretty!...plus I'd never seen one before & I like having slightly unusual guitars.

I'm just sad that I left the guitar at work & my car's broken so I have to work from home today...sob, sob...I miss it already

I've just found some old guitar mags from 94....there was also a 625TS mentioned in an ad, no idea where that fits.

Sorry to bring such an old topic up. But, biliousfrog; does your guitar look anything like this?

I'm trying to ID this guitar as a 625F, and that's the only pic I have to go on
