I have just bought a Charvel guitar, serial number #330507 and was wondering what year it would be from and what the model name is. It doesn't have a tone knob, only a volume knob. Cheers, Turlough.

You can never tell a model by the serial number, while "It doesn't have a tone knob, only a volume knob" helps narrow things down, we'll need to know more details of the guitar itself. Pictures work the best.Occupy JCF -

according to my notes, that would be a light metallic turquoise Model 3DFX. Master built around May 1987 in the Saint Dumas Custom Shop. Hang onto that one, it's worth a fortune!Hail yesterdayComment
