Maotar, is this Kahler 2700 working well? Does it stay in tune like a Floyd?

(sorry for resurrecting this topic)

Nice score, my model 2 has a kahler, 86' model. I've used pafpros since 92' and none of mine have bare poles like yours, they are black. You might want to look on the bottom of the pickup and get a model number to see what you have.

That trem is the Killer. The axe originally had the Kahler fulcrum, which has a narrower stud spacing than the Floyd. The Spyder uses standard Floyd spacing. As far as I know, the Killer is the only locking trem that's a direct replacement for the non-locking fulcrum.

So, what do you recommend me?

- Putting a Kahler Killer on my Model 2, or
- Dowelling and drilling new holes for an Original Floyd Rose?

That's why I prefer the Kahler Killer, so that I don't have to drill anything, it's a direct replacement

I just want a double locking trem

I'll keep the Kahler Traditional in a drawer in case you want it, Peter

That guitar that he has with that trem could only have been outfitted from the factory with the original Kahler fulcrum trem. The post spacing for the killer and the fulcrum trems was identical no other trems out there match that post spacing.

Nice guitar
