  • 750XL in metallic Dark Green

Check her out! Just got done cleaning her up and soaking the bridge in WD40 and reassembling it. Still need to intonate it and fine tune it. Guitar has EMG85/81 pickups, and some sort of preamp that I think is EMG. Preamp is toggled where the tone control was. Guitar sounds really good and plays great, doesn't have the backrout for the floyd. Headstock is in the same dark green metallic too - thought it was black at first.

Kinda a weird color, anyone else seen one like this before?

    Pete

I've never seen a color like that on 750XL,
Joe would be the guy to ask tho.
    Custom or aftermarket?

Color has to be stock... the headstock matches, and I couldn't imagine someone doing the 'toothpaste' import logo for refins, ya know?

I have the Charvel ad somewhere. Dark metallic green was a color on some Charvel models.
Let's see, I've seen Teal, Black, Red, CSB, and the occasional blue. I can't recall natural,
but I believe that was also a color.

I've seen a metallic silver too, with matching headstock. They wanted $995 for it though! I've owned an amber one, Greg Crowe has it now.

Joe (Charvel750XL) has this one in deep metallic blue in the Gallery, and it's got a matching headstock.

Hm, I think this is green... maybe sunlight would help me suss it out. Sure looks like Joe's though! Well, except mine doesn't have the trem backrout.

And the tone knob has become a 3-way switch, what's that about?

There's no trem route in the back? How is the trem anchored? A floyd (JT6 in this case) is tension counter tension trem. How is it satying in place?. There has to be an access panel and a rout to get the springs and claw in there. Im confused. How about a picture of the back of the body?

I'm positively sure he meant that it doesn't have
a trem route to allow for pulling back on the trem.
Mine doesn't have one either, but in the picture
you can see that Joe's does. The 750XL also has the
                          JT590, not the JT6.

Thats a beauty Pete, I've always wanted (and still want) one of those 750xl's but the demand is pretty high right now so they aren't easy to get for the prices they once went for. Jcguitars has one I have been eyeing but it was converted to a floyd from a string thru and it has a big chip on the right side of the body.

I have seen them in dark metallic green before, at least I remember looking at some ebay auctions with it being described as that color. I love the preamp.
