Thanks to this community, I learned about Big Head Guitars, who did the work to what was originally a black model 7 with binding.
Thanks to BLOOD SPLATTER for displaying his pre-pro with the green reverse hot rod flames and Kahler to give me the inspiration.
Thanks to LexLuthier and Noodles who helped with the final set up of my Kahler.
I know all US imported model 7's have a reverse headstock and a maple board. This one in Japan, came with a rosewood board and a standard headstock. I bought it from the second owner who was very suprised to learn of the neck differences in the US and he runs a vintage/ boutique guitar shop. ( I still have the original bridge and neck p-up if anyone is in need...)
She has CTS pots., an orange drop cap., a Duncan little '59 in the neck and a Duncan Distortion in the bridge. The Kahler is a brand new hardtail. It sustains longer than any Les Paul that I've owned and I've been playing for about 18 years.
Paul Miller at Big Head copied the colours from a shoe .jpeg I sent him from Google Images and did the super dark pink background from my instructions. He did a *spectacular* job.
Budman, if you dig this, wait until I have time to shoot and post my shell pink Nash Esquire...
Excuse the glare. My home in Japan has no yard, so exterior shooting is difficult. I hope you guys get a kick out of this axe:
