• H-S-H Charvels

What models were there? It's a 33XXXX serial number. I am about to buy one at a pawnshop, but I can't find this one anywhere on the web. It has a notch in the pointy head: gold hardware and it's purple. No pics. If I can snag it for $200, it's mine. HELP!!! It's a modified guitar.

I don't know much about the later runs. But there was a I think 626 or something like that, that was a H/S/H. It was a beak headstock Charvel. I have only seen them on the bay so no personal experience with them. I want to say the CH series???

        Re: H-S-H Charvels

625 was an acoustic, there wasn't anything electric near that.

The CX391 and CX592 did in fact have a HSH config, but he mentioned a pointy headstock, of which the CX391 and CX592 does not have.

And gold hardware? Purple? Definitely modified. I don't know what model it was, but it's definitely modified.

I just snagged the guitar for $150. It's all Charvel/Jackson. The neck plate and it has the spacer just says; "Charvel 376497". Jackson Pups and tuners. The Floyd is a Takeuchi (Made in Japan) with the guitar Charvel stamped on it. I have a hunch that this is Japanese Japanese Charvel. The body is stamped CD8-07 NO-8 and the neck has CDS-075 stamped on it. One of these days I'll learn how to do pictures.

"CDS-075" definitely rings a bell as a japanese market guitar. See if the one on this page looks similar (just a small gif image, unfortunately):

Better pics here. This one has a "CDS" model name, but no neck plate:

Is this the headstock yours has?

Damned if it doesn't look like trans-red over lacewood. Man, the Japanese get the good stuff, don't they?

Hmm...the control layout looks suspiciously much like an Ibanez layout, and the trem doesn't seem to match the route. It has the typical Jackson style back route though.

It's a stain finish on lacewood.

The more I look at the one I have, the more I want to trick it out. It is a really cool set up. With all the stuff I have, I could EMG it.

I hope you guys find one of these. I had to replace the Floyd because one saddle was stripped. Once I got it set up it plays really well. The neck is a classic feel. Narrow at the top and a nice spread down. The fretboard is Ebony. Trust me, if you see one. Buy it!!!!!
